Becoming a Member

 

The benefits of membership include:

• Receiving communications and alerts on critical neighborhood and city initiatives that directly affect your home, street, neighbors, schools, local institutions, such as zoning, development, land-use projects and crime 

• Attending regular meetings with civic and city leaders for information and updates on important issues regarding Richmond Public Schools, neighborhood private schools, City Council and Public Safety Concerns

• Having a voice and the opportunity for collaboration with City Council and the Mayor on a range of relevant issues and projects 

• Participating in neighborhood-focused events such as a Meet & Greet, Garden Walk and After Party, 4th of July Picnic, Fall Social, Celebrations of Sherwood Park’s 100th Anniversary in 2026, and on specified Days of Service

• Volunteering to support your community through service on an SPCA committee such as beautification, membership, block captains, hospitality, safety & government affairs,  technology or serving on the board of officers

 

​Annual Dues - $20 per household yearly

How dues are applied

 

Annual membership dues go to support the work and activities of SPCA to include:

• Newsletters/flyers printing costs

• Maintenance for outdoor signs at two entrances to Sherwood Park

• Purchase of supplies for neighborhood events, meetings and community clean up

• Website and technical subscriptions

• Government regulation fees 

• Welcome kits for new residents
