CODE REFRESH update

RICHMOND MEETING for SHERWOOD PARK RESIDENTS

Monday August 18th 6:30pm

Christ Ascension Church, 1704 W. Laburnum Ave. (across from Holton Elem.),

Marianne Pitts with the City Department of Planning and Development Review will give a presentation to Sherwood Park Civic Association about Code Refresh and what it will mean for our neighborhood

Our neighbors in Ginter Park have done a fabulous job of condensing the information relevant to our neighborhoods. The following is from the Ginter Park Resident’s Association newsletter, which you can access from the link below:

As you all may know, the City of Richmond is deep into a re-write of its 1970’s era zoning code. It is referred to as a “Code Refresh,” however it is actually a totally new code, intended to implement the long-term land use plan included in the Richmond 300 master plan.

If you have not yet looked into how this “zoning refresh” will affect all Sherwood Park residents (homeowners and renters alike), now is the time to do so as it is moving along very quickly, and the time for public comment is short.

At this point in the 2-year process, the code-writing staff has issued the following documents, available at https://www.ginterpark.org/code-refresh.html
